Fundraiser Donor Experience in Simple Raise
Fundraiser Donors are the individuals that Fundraiser participants solicit financial contributions either through online cash or product sale donations depending on the method selected for the fundraiser. They will receive either an email or text message invitation to view your fundraiser donation page depending on the method you used to add and invite them.
Step 1: Accept Become a Donor Invitation
Once received via email or text message, the donor contact should click the Accept Invitation button to log in and view the fundraiser donation page using their personalized tracking link. This enables us to track their personal shares to other donors in their network. Which is awesome for you!

Invitations are unique to each donor contact and cannot be shared. If a donor would like for a member of their family or community (such as an aunt, uncle, cousin, neighbor, coworker) to be invited to contribute to the fundraiser, they should contact the Fundraiser Participant with this request. They can also use the share feature to promote it through their social media networks.
Step 2: Make a Donation to the Fundraiser
From the Fundraiser Donation page, a donor can see information about the organization and the particular fundraiser via a written description, as well as a photo gallery and video links if provided
If the donor is making a Monetary Online Cash Donation - donor contacts can make an online payment contribution towards the organization’s fundraiser. If there is an option to purchase a donation product, but you only wish to make a monetary donation, make sure that the product quantity is set to 0.
Then enter the amount you'd like to donate in the Additional Monetary Donation.
Upon completion of the online payment, the donor will see a Thank You screen pop-up and receive either an email or text notification containing their cash donation receipt.
(COMING SOON) If the donor is making a Product Based Donation - donors contacts can buy a product, where a ‘commission’ portion of the sale proceeds will go towards the organization’s cause. Products can be any physical items that are delivered/shipped to a donor such as cookie dough, wrapping paper, poinsettias, OR a service item like a car wash or spaghetti dinner taking place on a particular date.
They will click on the 'Donate' button to view and select products, then complete a payment via a pop up form.
Important Note - keep in mind that when conducting product-based fundraisers, Simple Raise does not handle the following tasks: order status tracking, fulfillment, delivery, cancellations, or refunds. Currently, the platform is designed to handle product or service items that you have on hand or via group order that can be picked up/redeemed by your donors.
Upon completion of the online product payment, the donor will see a Thank You pop-up screen and receive either an email or text notification containing their product donation receipt.
Donor Contact Notifications During the Fundraiser
During an active fundraiser, a donor may receive the following notifications from Simple Raise:
- Invitation to Donate (sent because a participant added them as a donor contact)
- Reminder to Donate (sent because a donor has not yet made a donation)
- Donation Receipt Confirmation (sent because the donor made a cash or product based donation to a fundraiser)
Need to Opt-Out a Donor Contact?
Donor contacts who no longer wish to receive notifications via text message can reply STOP and also update their profile with their email address if they prefer only to receive email notifications.
