Closing a Fundraiser in Simple Raise

When a fundraiser reaches its end date for accepting donations, it will be unpublished and marked as ‘closed’ in your Fundraiser Dashboard. Organization Administrators and Fundraising Assistants can both view the results of the fundraiser.

Step 1: Funds Payout to Your Organization

We are pleased to announce the elimination of the 10% platform fee. Additionally, we will cover the 3.5% convenience fee typically assessed by our payment processor for donations, product purchases, and event ticket sales.

At the conclusion of your fundraiser, your organization will receive payment via check or ACH transfer. If a check is preferred, Simple Raise will issue and mail it within seven business days, payable to the organization. For organizations that have provided banking information for ACH payments, funds will be sent electronically via direct deposit within the same timeframe.

Step 2: Funds Allocation to Your Organization

You can access the Fundraiser Reports and export them to manually review the funds collected and either assign them individually or to specific budget line items for your organization. Cash donations will be marked cash and product donations will be marked as commissions in the report.

If you are a CutTime connected user, then Simple Raise will provide automatic entries back via a bulk credit to your program’s Financial Dashboard, which will be further applied towards individual student account balance statements and/or your Program’s Angel Fund depending on the fundraising goal type and goal amounts you set.

Step 3: Thank Your Participants and Donor Contacts

Use your Fundraiser Reports to create a mailing list of participants and donor contacts. Send them a final message with your appreciation, celebrating your success, and how the funds were utilized (photos and videos are especially helpful!). If your fundraiser was product-based, then also include information about product deliveries.

If you are a CutTime connected user, use the Announcements feature inside of CutTime to send a message to your student participants and guardian donor contacts via their Magic Links.

Let's Do It Again, Soon!

Great news, if your fundraiser is an ‘annual’ occurrence, you can easily save a lot of steps and clone it for the following year! Just be sure to add the current year as part of the Fundraiser Title/Name. (e.g. All You Can Eat Spaghetti Dinner 2025, or Get Soapy for Music Nerds 2025, etc.)
